The Harvard Humanitarian Action Summit aims to educate the Harvard community on critical issues facing the humanitarian sector. Mr. Daccord will announce a call for research papers, followed by expert “Ted Talk” style presenatations and a dynamic networking reception at the Harvard Art Museums.

The mission of the 2018 Humanitarian Action Summit is to:

  • Convene senior leaders in humanitarian organizations to engage on critical challenges in humanitarian protection.
  • Explore the parameters of humanitarian protection and address the challenges of implementation through collaborative discussions, analysis, debate, and research.
  • Provide specific actions and guidelines that will advance policy and/or best practices in the key themes of protection, such as negotiating humanitarian access, gender-based violence and harassment, and data protection and security.
