Join us for a welcome/introductory lunch on Tuesday, September 4 from 1-2pm in the FXB Atrium at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Faculty from the concentration and staff from the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative will be on hand to discuss humanitarian studies at Harvard with you.

What is the HuSEHR Concentration?

The Interdisciplinary Concentration in Humanitarian Studies, Ethics and Human Rights (HuSEHR) provides an organized program of study that focuses on the normative underpinnings and practice of humanitarian response and human rights.  The curriculum covers a broad range of areas including civilian protection, international humanitarian law, human rights, disaster response, coordinated aid, crisis dynamics, sector-based assistance, health and human security of internally displaced people, geopolitical context, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, situation analysis, ethics and standards.  Upon successful completion of the concentration, students will be prepared to assume research, leadership and managerial roles within the humanitarian and human rights global community.

Next, we invite you to join us for welcome/introductory lunch on Tuesday, September 4 from 1-2pm in the FXB Atrium at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Faculty from the concentration and staff from the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative will be on hand to discuss humanitarian studies at Harvard with you.

On Thursday, September 6 from 5-7pm, the HuSEHR concentration will also have a booth at the Student Resource Fair where you can chat with our representatives about the concentration and learn how to become involved with our work on campus!
