Senior Program Manager, Curricular Innovation Program
Benjamin Davies is a Senior Program Manager for the Humanitarian Academy at Harvard. In this role, he manages the selection, production and dissemination of multimedia case studies and simulations focused on humanitarian theory and practice related to complex emergencies. Benjamin joined Harvard Humanitarian Initiative in 2011 to manage operations for the Satellite Sentinel Project, and later became the assistant director of the Signal Program on Human Security and Technology.
Benjamin has years of experience in NGO management and strategy including consulting to nonprofit, government, and private sector clients. His previous experience includes managing domestic emergency response operations for Save the Children, where he provided field support and guidance to response teams, partners, and policy makers on best practices to support children and families. He was also the Chief of Staff at Physicians for Human Rights. He has authored and published numerous reports and scholarly articles focused on the intersections between technology, human rights and humanitarian response. Benjamin holds a Master in Nonprofit/NGO Management from University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from St. Lawrence University and attended the Wharton Executive Development Program.
