Lauren Flamer

Communications and Outreach Manager

Lauren is the Communications and Outreach Manager at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Prior to this current assignment, Lauren served as the Assistant Director of Global Markets with Harvard Business School’s Executive Education and prior to that the Program Manager of Harvard Business School’s Global Initiative.

A learner for life, Lauren’s vision and passion is to make a difference in the world by building and cultivating global strategic partnerships across industry groups and within academic circles.  For her undergraduate studies, Lauren chose to attend Wellesley College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. With this degree, her journey into global affairs was launched, and she was subsequently employed by University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in their Executive Education sector. In this assignment she traveled extensively both domestically and internationally, facilitating workshops and satellite programming by internationally acclaimed Wharton faculty and thought leaders.  In addition to her work duties, Lauren completed a Business Essentials certificate program from The Wharton School and later matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania earning a Master of Liberal Arts in Global Studies.

Lauren is the Co-Chair of the Wellesley College Mentorship Working Group, a member of the HBS Learning & Development Advisory Board, a Young Philanthropist with The Philanthropist Connection, an Adviser on Harvard College’s Board of Freshman Advisers, and the former President of the Wellesley College Alumnae of Boston.
