Previously, within the Peace-building and Data division at HHI, Stacie managed a nationwide survey in Guatemala and conducted post-conflict resiliency research in East Timor and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She has supported international development projects as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador and worked as a health systems strengthening program advisor in northern Uganda. She obtained a Masters degree from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2015 and BA in Sociology and Anthropology from St. Olaf College in 2010. She also studied International Affairs at the American University in Cairo.
