Luciana will join the ATHA program as a Research Intern for the Fall 2020 semester. She has worked as a Faculty Aide for a Harvard Extension School instructor and HHI Senior Fellow, Birthe Anders, assisting with a research project on aid worker security. Luciana is also a Legal Intern at the American Red Cross, where she is conducting research on International Humanitarian Law.

Katie will join the ATHA program as a Research Intern for the Fall 2020 semester. Prior to HHI, Katie spent a year in Austria as a Fulbright Scholar, where she conducted research focused on gender minority health policy within Austria and at the international level.

Gabrielle works with HHI on research projects and case studies related to humanitarian diplomacy and the burden of armed conflict on healthcare delivery. She also works as a Research Associate at the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change at Harvard Medical School.

Emma Kenny is the Research Coordinator for the Program on Gender, Rights and Resilience (GR2) at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. She provides programmatic and administrative support for GR2's ongoing projects, particularly USAID's RISE grant supporting local women's groups in mining towns in Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Since 2014, the war in the Donbas, fueled and sustained by local and regional political priorities, has inflicted a heavy burden of civilian death, injury, displacement, destruction, and lasting trauma.

Aaron is the media production specialist at HHI. In addition to creating the majority of HHI's multimedia, he also manages HHI's website and assists with development and execution of communications strategy.

Sweet Hope has been working with the Program on Gender, Rights and Resilence (GR2) since June 2020 and will continue to assit for the 2020-2021 academic year. She will be providing programmatic and administrative support for GR2's ongoing projects, particularly USAID’s RISE grant supporting local women’s groups in mining towns in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

 

Dr. Albanti is the Executive Director at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and has 18 years of experience in healthcare management and global health. Dr. Albanti leads the strategic, operational, financial, and administrative management of HHI and oversees all HHI programs. Dr.
