Dr. Lombardo is educator and practitioner in electrical engineering, design education, and international
development. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the University
of Maryland in College Park and his Master of Science and PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of
Texas at Austin. He is currently the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies and a Lecturer in Electrical
Engineering at the Harvard John A Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Dr. Lombardo has been heavily involved in Engineers Without Borders USA since 2004. He has been a member
of four chapters holding numerous leadership roles at local, regional, and national levels. He has served as the
faculty advisor to the Harvard chapter since 2012 and has been an active member of the Energy Standing
Content Committee, Faculty Leadership Committee, and the EWB-USA Board of Directors for many years. Dr.
Lombardo currently is the President-Elect of Engineers Without Borders USA.
