Louisa served as an intern for the Infectious Disease and Epidemics Program at HHI. She is a PhD student in Interdisciplinary Bioscience at the University of Oxford. She completed her undergraduate degree in Cell and Systems Biology, also at Oxford, in 2019, with a major in Infection and Immunity and a minor in Molecular Medicine. Her undergraduate research was focused on fitness bottlenecks in mother-to-child transmission of HIV. The focus of her PhD research is on using computational and ‘omics’ approaches to better understand the host-pathogen interactions of RNA viruses.
