Sam Lewis, MD MPhil, is an emergency medicine physician and Health Policy Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received his MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, MPhil in Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge, and BA from Williams College. He completed his emergency medicine residency training at University of Washington. His interests lie at the intersection of global health policy and research, particularly workforce development and health system resilience. He has conducted prior research on HIV care among refugee populations, global vaccine hesitancy, cervical cancer screening, and the impact of COVID-19 on health service availability.
