Sarah Schwartz

Program Coordinator, Program on Resilient Communities

Sarah joined the Program on Resilient Communities in April 2018.  Previously, Sarah was the Project Coordinator for HHI’s Advanced Training Program on Humanitarian Action (ATHA), where she coordinated events and logistics as well as providing research and program support across ATHA projects.  Sarah also accompanied a three-week Harvard winter field course to Amman, Jordan in January 2018 as the Course Assistant.  She has held several positions incorporating both program coordination and research in higher education, including as the assistant to the bibliographer for Francophone studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and as an international relations coordinator in the International Relations Office of Aix-Marseille Université in Aix-en-Provence.  She also spent a year teaching English in the Midi-Pyrénées region of France. Sarah holds a Masters in French Studies with a concentration in International Education from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and a BA in French and Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross. She is interested in how the higher education space can be used to promote international and cross-cultural learning and solve global issues.  In her spare time, Sarah volunteers as a mentor with Enroot Education, a local nonprofit which empowers immigrant youth to achieve academic, career, and personal success.
