Charitra Shreya Pababraju is a graduate intern for the Signal Program where collaborates with the team to assist in the planning of an exploratory seminar. She also supports manuscript development and the development of case studies for the program. Pabbaraju has also worked in political violence research for the past three years for the Oppression-Resistance Lab at Emory University and hopes to pursue further comparative studies in ethnic and gender-based violence.
She is a second-year MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford’s Department of International Development. She is pursuing a thesis on State narratives of authority in land dispossession in light of eco-emergency. She additionally holds a B.A. in Political Science and English and Creative Writing at Emory University, where she was a Robert W. Woodruff Dean’s Achievement Scholar and was named the Elliot Levitas award recipient as the “most outstanding senior in Political Science.”
