How can localization and digital transformation be effectively woven together in humanitarian action? The Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI) developed a playbook outlining critical and reflective questions to think strategically about humanitarian digital innovation. This playbook is for actors on the frontlines of humanitarian action and those in humanitarian headquarters. It poses fundamental and practical questions that should be asked during digital innovation's design, deployment, and scaling up in humanitarian actions. This launch event will include a presentation and discussion about the playbook's use for humanitarian innovation in 2023 and beyond. This event is open to the public, and all are welcome.
