Hama Othman, MBA, MA
Hama Othman is the Program Manager for Harvard Education at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI). He is responsible for supporting a series of initiatives and programs in HHI’s educational arm - the Humanitarian Academy. Hama works closely with HHI faculty, program and administrative staff, and students on all aspects of HHI’s educational offerings, including curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and outreach. Prior to joining HHI, Hama coordinated 3 of the 6 master’s programs at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Most of his career has been in higher education where he taught English as a Second Language to international students, managed ESL programs, and designed and managed international students’ first year experience in US universities.
Hama holds a Master of Business Administration from Oregon State University, a Master of Arts in Linguistics with Language Teaching Specialization from the University of Oregon, and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Sulaimani.
