Riyana Lalani

Riyana worked with Dr. Albanti on her MPH practicum project on strategic management where she researched evidence-based strategic frameworks, explored HHI’s program and partnership development approach, and examined HHI’s overall strategic planning and decision-making process.  Her interests and previous experiences have focused on refugees and survivors of gender-based violence. She is interested in integrating research, management and field expertise to create meaningful and sustainable solutions that increase access to care for those who are underserved, particularly those who have been disenfranchised by human rights violations and humanitarian disasters.

In 2021, Riyana graduated with an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where she concentrated in both Health Management and Humanitarian Studies, Ethics and Human Rights. In 2022, she completed medical school with an MD from Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine. She received her bachelor’s of science in Biology at University of Florida.
