Intern, Strategic Management Project
Riyana works with Dr. Albanti on her MPH practicum project on strategic management where she researches evidence-based strategic frameworks, explores HHI’s program and partnership development approach, and examines HHI’s overall strategic planning and decisionmaking process. Riyana is an MPH student at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health concentrating in both Health Management and Humanitarian Studies, Ethics and Human Rights. She received her bachelor’s of science in Biology at University of Florida and is now pursuing this MPH degree between her third and fourth years of medical school at Florida Atlantic University in her home state. Her interests and previous experiences have focused on refugees and survivors of genderbased violence. She is interested in integrating research, management and field expertise to create meaningful and sustainable solutions that increase access to care for those who are underserved, particularly those who have been disenfranchised by human rights violations and humanitarian disasters.
