Zahra Mohammadi
Zahra-Marie Mohammadi is a rising junior at Harvard College concentrating in Neurobiology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Originally from Miami, Florida, her work is driven by a commitment to addressing disparities in cancer care among refugee populations across the world. She is especially interested in investigating how conflict and environmental disasters build fragile health systems that contribute to preventable cancer mortality. In parallel, Zahra is an analog astronaut and student researcher in space medicine, exploring how research in extreme environments like outer space can inform innovative approaches to healthcare delivery on Earth and beyond. In the future, Zahra dreams of pursuing a career as a physician, integrating clinical insight with policy-driven solutions to expand equitable oncology care in low-resource and humanitarian settings.
