About the Data

In 2024, the Program on Resilient Communities (HHI RC) conducted a nationwide survey assessing the factors affecting disaster preparedness and resilience at the household level in the Philippines. This survey builds on a previous study conducted in 2017 that developed indicators of disaster preparedness and resilience and collected baseline data on these indicators across the country. This study gathered data on how disaster preparedness and resilience have changed over time. It also assessed perceptions and attitudes around climate change and climate change adaptation.

The survey aims to increase the availability, useability, and access to much-needed data on preparedness and resilience. This data informs practitioners, implementing disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) programming as well as policy makers focusing on climate change, disaster preparedness and management, and mental health and resilience in the Philippines.
