Keanu Costales

Keanu is the Grants and Communications Specialist for the Program on Resilient Communities at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Prior to joining HHI, he served as a project development officer at his alma mater where he helped craft high-level, innovation-driven research project proposals for local and extramural funding. He was also the pioneering project manager and communications lead of the Sibul technology business incubator wherein he helped farmer communities and other underserved sectors move from the margins to the center through sustainable agriculture, community participation, and business development.

In his current role at HHI, Keanu is empowered to help communities likely to be affected by climate-related disasters, particularly in Asia, through strategic and development communication, grant proposal writing, and stakeholders’ engagement, among others. He holds a BA in English from Pampanga State Agricultural University and is currently pursuing Master in Community Development at Benguet State University.
