The HHI 2017 Annual Report provides a look into the research and educational activities of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. 

Research in the field of human rights can have many goals. Among others, it serves to uncover and document evidence of crimes, seeks to tell the stories of victims and survivors, and strives to inform and influence policies and strategies to deal with human rights violations.

Dr. Eric Nilles, MD MSc, is the Director of the Program on Infectious Diseases and Humanitarian Emergencies at HHI, a Member of the Faculty at Harvard Medical School, and an attending physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine. He competed his clinical training at Yale and studied tropical medicine at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr.
