The humanitarian system is under pressure to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of its action concerning Information and Communications Technology (ICT) innovations. Such actions have often included significant focus on (1) technology and innovation and (2) localization – respecting and strengthening the role of local organizations – to better address the needs of affected populations. Innovation and localization have, however, been generally considered as separate strategies with a need for concretized action to effectively merge these thematic areas.
This four-part webinar series will serve as a platform for diverse panels to address this issue and to hold meaningful conversations about the challenges, best practices, and next steps pertaining to the digital divide in Humanitarian ICT innovation. The series will run weekly from October 11 through November 1, and each part will address an specific and relevant topic to the overall discussion:
Part I - October 11 at 10:00am (EST)
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
Part II - October 18 at 10:00am (EST)

Part III - October 25 at 9:00am (EST)
